I know I speak for many when I say the holiday’s are my favorite time of year! Why? Parties of course! Every year around this time I begin party planning for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. It becomes a frenzy of crafting, treat making, games and entertainment for all of our family and friends. The get together’s are talked about for years to come and everyone looks forward to next year’s happening’s.
As my fellow party throwers will agree, there is a mountain of work that goes into planning a party. Cooking, crafting, decorating, games and more! I left out the big one.. CLEANING, CLEANING, CLEANING! We won’t let our family and friends come over to a messy house. In fact we go into cleaning overload making sure our house is the cleanest it’s ever been.. since our last get together anyways. We spend days organizing, dusting, vacuuming, and preparing for our favorite people to come celebrate with us. Have kids? Forget about it! As we clean our kiddos are a tornado of mass destruction following behind us. Eventually, we find ourselves sitting in the bathtub with a bottle of wine wondering why me?
Let me paint a picture for you.. You go to work, knowing the party starts tomorrow. You’ve hired Sparkle to come in and completely deep clean your home. The kid’s are at school, the house is empty, dishes are in the sink, bathrooms are a mess and you are no where close to being prepared. After all, you still have cooking and decorating to do. You get off work, pick up the kids from volleyball and head home, unsure of what to expect. You walk through the door and WHOA! You have to double check your in the right house. Every surface is dusted, the bathrooms, kitchen, living area are spotless and cleaned like you only just moved in. The kids rooms, along with yours are cleaned. Your house is perfection and its our little secret. You cook and finish the final touches for tomorrow event and you call it a night early, crawling into your freshly made bed and falling into a blissful slumber.
